Memory Lost (美人为馅): Chapter 87

Chapter 87: My Sorrow Part 1

It’s past 10 pm as Bai Jin Xi walks into the station with Han Chen carrying a box of barbecue skewers.

Han Chen has no opinion on she delivering some late night snacks to the Black Shield Team.  They’re going to get married sooner or later, so how could he not be happy about her showing the responsibility of being his wife?

Bai Jin Xi isn’t thinking as deeply into this as he is.  She just happens to have eaten some very good snacks and wants to share it with Xiao Zhuan and the others.

The night is quiet and the office building is sparsely lit.  They push open the office door while holding hands, and the first thing they see is Xiao Zhuan and the others busying themselves in front of their desks.

Xu Nan Bai is also here.  This is a rather surprise to Jin Xi. Read more

Chapter 86: Unmovable Boulder Part 2

Han Chen stares at her and doesn’t say anything.

Jin Xi turns her head to the side as if nothing happened.  She picks up the glass of water and takes a sip of it.

He stares at her while tapping his fingers on the table, “Mm, the duck wings that I haven’t been able to have for these past few years, you’ve worked hard.”

Jin Xi wants to burst out laughing, but she doesn’t want to be too arrogant.  She puts the glass down and glares at him, “Han Chen, I’ve just discovered that you have quite the quality of a ‘resentful husband.’  Why is a big man like you being so petty with me?”

Han Chen picks up his chopsticks again and resumes eating.

“Some women are forgetful, if you don’t remind her of what she owes……” he lifts his eyes to look at her, which carries a hint of a smile, “she won’t be prepared to give her ‘body’ (idiom, to give one’s heart) to the one she owes.”

Jin Xi retorts, “I’ve already given you my ‘body’!” Read more

Chapter 85: Unmovable Boulder Part 1

It’s already noon when Bai Jin Xi wakes up again.

The sunlight floods the entire room.  The air is permeated with the fragrance of love.  She shifts her eyes sideways and looks at Han Chen who’s lying beside her.

He’s still sleeping.  One of his arms is being used as a pillow under her head, and his other arm is lying on top of her waist.  His face is very close to her; his features are distinct and chiseled.

Jin Xi watches him quietly in mesmerization.  She stretches her neck and pecks his cheek.

After a while, she gives a peck on his nose.

And then his mouth and neck.  She then picks up his hand and kisses his palm. Read more

Chapter 84: My Beloved Part 2

In the bright light, the woman’s skin is soft and fair white, making him unable to move his eyes away.  Han Chen holds her back with both of his hands while locking her legs with his so that she can’t move.  He is gradually kissing harder and breathing quicker.

Both of Jin Xi’s hands are grabbing on the bed sheet.  The slightly cool air seems to make the skin on her back more sensitive.  His lips, tongue, breathing, and his fingertips ignite her senses.  She can also feel that he’s also trying to suppress himself like she is; they’re deeply attracted to each other’s body.

Finally, Han Chen releases her body and turns her around so that they face each other.

They’re both naked now.  Only their burning bodies are against each other.

Han Chen lifts up one of her legs and lowers his body.

He looks down at her with his blazing eyes. Read more

Chapter 83: My Beloved Part 1

From high up in the building, the city is quiet and beautiful like a dream.  It’s 3 am and the city is still stitched with lights.  The sparse traffic on the roads is like a dark meandering river among the sparkling lights.

Bai Jin Xi stands on the balcony for a while; time seems to pass slowly.  She’s too far away from the main road, so she can’t make out whether or not Han Chen’s car is returning.  It’s very cold at night.  She steps one foot on top of the other for a while before going inside to fetch a jacket and going downstairs to wait.

Han Chen parks his car and walks along a small path towards the entrance.  From afar, he can see a woman standing facing the wall with her head down; not sure what she’s thinking about. Read more
