Chapter 91: Don’t Let Go Part 1

Monkey made reservations at a private restaurant in the West end of the city.  The restaurant is by the lakeside, and its entrance is hidden by trees.  Looking at it on the outside, one would think that it’s somebody’s mansion.

Su Mian walks inside with her arm wrapped around Han Chen’s.  She looks up at the lights on the ceiling and says in awe, “This place is beautiful.”

Han Chen says with an indifferent expression on his face and both hands in his pockets, “I’ll bring you to places that are even more beautiful in the future, so don’t get dizzy now.”

Chapter 90: Let’s Wait and See

Afternoon.

Han Chen and Bai Jin Xi are resting against the wall in the shadow cast by the trees at her middle school.

Perhaps she should be called Su Mian from now on.

Han Chen twists open the bottle cap and hands it to her, “We’ve finished visiting both your elementary and middle school, how do you feel?”

Su Mian takes it and drinks a big mouthful.  She answers with her eyes still looking straight, “Not bad.  It’s blurry, but it’s familiar.”

Han Chen doesn’t ask any further.

Han Chen continues, “When running, people who are right-handed tend to make left turns and vice versa.  And our subconsciousness will choose the route that is most attractive to us——for example the scenery, a non-bumpy road, or……” he glances at her, “yummy foods on the street.”

Jin Xi is quite excited from listening to him.  Seeing that he has stopped, she asks, “It sounds deep.  So?  If I can grasp these tips and tricks, I’ll be able to overcome my weakness of always getting lost?”

Chapter 88: My Sorrow Part 2

The winds are strong in late autumn of Beijing.  The sky is also gloomy.

The Public Security University building is grand yet serene looking.  The emblem on the upper middle part of the building is rather dark.  In the courts not far away, there are still students playing basketball.  The whole campus feels staid and tranquil.

Jin Xi observes the surroundings and becomes quiet.  Han Chen asks, “Do you remember anything?”

Jin Xi doesn’t remember anything from this place, but yet it feels familiar.
