Her dad’s reaction is just right, even tho she grew up with hardships that leads her to be mature and *somehow* independent, she is still minor and must be under the supervision of her father. Her father’s action is probably because of his experienced and wide spectrum of life and past.

I finally understand why this whole novel is so mature…I think it would be best if this were a movie so that they have more freedom to explore the other scenes not in perverted way but most of those parts say so much about maturity and such that I don’t think they would be able to express in a drama…

Godfrey is so swoon worthy though and I kind of don’t feel that the girl is cute enough? I don’t have a word for it, she just doesn’t give me a Xiao Qiu vibe…she looks a little old too wherein Godfrey looks young for some reason…it’s like their versions have been reversed in that aspect.

Thanks LilZah! I really liked how caring the dad is towards Xiao Qiu and her little brother, especially since he refused to remarry incase of them being bullied by a stepmom. Funny to think that the dad did something similar to Xiao Qiu when he pursed Xiao Qiu’s mom yet disapprove of how Xiao Qiu purses Li Chuan.
